Miley Cyrus officially became the first female artist to have every track ranked No.1 on the iTunes charts around the world. This accomplishment has a lot behind it, so let’s break down what it really means.

What does Miley Cyrus’ accomplishment really mean?

On January 9, Cyrus shared an image on Instagram. The picture indicates that his album Plastic hearts is accomplished in every country of the world. Plastic hearts was released on November 27, 2020. This album features hits like “Midnight Sky”, “Prisoner” and “Angels Like You”. This album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and continues to do well on iTunes.

This means that every song on this album has reached # 1 on the iTunes charts, in different countries around the world. For example, while “Midnight Sky” may have reached number 1 in America, “Prisoner” may have reached number 1 in Canada. But overall, every track on this album reached # 1 on the iTunes charts in at least one country.

Cyrus reached that goal on January 8 when his song “High” reached No. 1 on the iTunes Peru charts. Fans were eager to get the feat from their favorite singer. The singer shared the accomplishment on Instagram, making sure to thank her fans.

“Thank you. I love my smiles,” Cyrus wrote.

In addition to this accomplishment, the album itself receives its own awards. Plastic hearts has been certified gold in UK, New Zealand, Norway and Poland. This album was also certified platinum in Brazil. Plastic hearts was Cyrus’ last outing with his former record company, RCA. This album was different from its previous releases as it was mainly based on the rock and pop genres. Popular guests on this album are Dua Lipa, Billy Idol. Stevie Nicks and Joan Jett.

It’s no secret that the world loves Cyrus, so this accomplishment doesn’t really surprise me. This accomplishment came not long after the recent popularity of its New Years special set in Miami, Florida, broadcast by NBC. Cyrus fans are craving new music, so I’m sure she will hit that target again in the near future.
